what are you plans for the school holidays???

Oh and if you were raised on the 3 term year, what do you think of the new 4 terms??

(just to see if we can get a couple of discussions going....)

I've got the week of from my course to look after Zach this week. Tomorrow I'm taking Zach and one of his mates to the movies to see "monsters vs aliens" Apart from that I'm just taking each day as it comes.

I took my son to see that last weekend when he was in hospital and they let him out for a couple of hours, made him laugh but I have seen better kids movies.

Do you think it will be entertaining enough to amuse two active 5 year old boys?

Got one in for surgery tomorrow (getting the ears fixed up), got a plan to see Monsters vs Aliens as well. Next week another off to camp, with a possible side-trip away. Going to be pretty busy really, I think the holidays are going to fly past.

Bugger that, I just want a week with no obligations, none at all........

no one sick would be fantastic too, and if I never see a hospital again, well I could live with that as well

I wish, I'd just love to have nothing to do rather than blob out. Not ever going to happen though.

My two go back on the 21st.... so we are making the most of relaxing, no sports trainings etc.
One goes back to the surgeon tomorrow to hopefully get the blasted stitches that havent dissolved after nearly 8 weeks removed (somehow!).

Both have got mates coming round on and off during the week.

I plan on at least 2 mornings of sleep in's!

I grew up with three (May and August holidays, we called them), but I like the four. Two semesters for university fits with four terms. Seems logical to me to split stuff into halves/quarters.

I am getting used to the 4 terms now... but when they first started it felt like the kids were on holiday all the time.

I find being around a lot of kids at school, especially primary, they get pretty tired & grumpy at around the 9 - 10 week mark so the breaks seem to work for them quite well.

I treated my girls and the dog to a bush walk this morning - and I left them there to fend for themselves. That should keep them amused till the end of holidays (if they manage to survive).
