I had brought some calamine lotion and was chatting to another friend ( yes Waireka I have more than one)and said I had just put this on she was freaking out !!saying it dries the chickenpox out and this is what leads to longterm scarring!!!! So into the shower to wash THAT off and off to the doc for the difinitive opinion ...sent to chemist to buy (what sounds suspiciously to me like "A pint of arseholes") and of course there is a gel form of aresholes or a soap or an oil and which do I want? Jesus H christ!!! so 40 bucks later (I brought all three) I get home apply the stuff which imo actually DOES smell like a pint of arseholes and am FINALLY relaxing here on the comp..

Blardy Chickenpox
My son has them and who would have thought it would be fraught with so many different theories on what to treat it with..my mum said to use a paste of bicarb soda I mentioned this to a friend and she was like NO! you put a cup of bicarb to one bath of water...

Re: Blardy Chickenpox
Calamine didnt cause any scarring for me.
Pinetarsol is good. It's like green or yellow.... makes a bath fun. My mum says it didnt really do alot for the itching but chucking my brother and I (3,5) into a green luke warm bath (it was December) broke up the monotony and was some excitement for the day.
I still love the smell of that stuff.

As I remember it,
Green+white bottle packaging, Yellow/orange liquid, did shit all for itching, smelt like old tree shit.

Yeah greeny-yellow bath water. Hey I was 5 - it was novel.
And I like the smell... it's kinda petrol-y.

My parents just gave me gloves, and sat me in front of the TV, said grit and bear it, they did. I will do the same thing to my kids.

Well..only pandas. No one cares about the other animals...except maybe elephants.

I do not particularly care for blue elephants with pink trimming.

Technicolour pachyderms are a completely different matter. You see, blue elephants with pink trimming do not have very thick skin!
Edited for typo
